Tinnitus Is the Annoying Ringing in the Ears – What Causes it and How Can it be Stopped

Yes the annoying ringing in the ears that tends to get louder whenever it gets quieter, is normally referred to as Tinnitus. During the day, for some, the ringing tends not to be too bad however, at night when silence falls as it normally does in the twilight hours it can become very annoying as well as nerve racking.

Tinnitus is a condition where the cochlea (hair like structures) of the inner ear become damaged, and when damaged, send false signals to the brain in the form of what most describe as ringing in the ears. Tinnitus has also been described by some as buzzing, whining, clicking, and other types of noises. All these noises are heard only by the person who is suffering from the ringing in the ears and normally cannot be heard by anyone else, this type of Tinnitus is referred to as subjective Tinnitus.

If your doctor can hear the noise as well as the person suffering from the Tinnitus then, it is most likely being caused by turbulent blood flow in the area of the inner ear and depending on the cause of the turbulent blood flow, surgery may take care of it and correct the problem. This type of Tinnitus is referred to as objective Tinnitus.

Natural Treatment For Tinnitus-Stem Cell Research

I was a musician for many years and this was the cause of my tinnitus or ringing of ears. The day came when the ringing didn\’t quit and I eventually went on a search for a natural treatment for tinnitus.

I\’ve really minimized my tinnitus and I want to share what I\’ve done. Before I get into that however, I\’d like to let you know some news of exciting research that\’s taking place with stem cells.

There seems to be a cure of the month for ringing of ears but none have really seemed long lasting or to really pan out as legitimate. Research into stem cell treatment or tinnitus seems to be very hopeful and might truly be a cure for many with this condition.

Many people with tinnitus have a history of exposure to loud noises at work or in some other area of their life. This constant noise has the effect of damaging and ultimately destroying the delicate nerves in the inner ear.

In a nutshell, the idea is that stem cells would first be taken from an embryo and the cells changed to mimic the nerve cells of the bodies inner ear. These new cells would be grown and take the place of the now useless cells and create a new functioning nerve.

The hope is that growing these cells in the ear would be a cure for many types of tinnitus. The research being done is attempting to find ways to grow the cells and causing these cells to take the place of damaged cells through a process of regeneration.

This is exciting research but if successful it could still be years down the road before it\’s universally available. However I\’ve found help with my tinnitus and there are answers for your ringing ears.

My quest was for a natural treatment for tinnitus. I\’d been through the drugs, masking techniques and talk of possible surgery. I was ready for a different route.

I did my own research into what was working for many tinnitus patients and it seemed to be holistic methods. I began to exercise regularly and did everything possible to increase my blood flow and circulation. Increased blood flow to the brain and the inner ear has been connected to a lessening in the ringing of ears.

Supplements have benefits also as certain vitamins and other herbal supplements have the effect of improving circulation and thus decreasing the roaring, ringing and whooshing that used to plague me constantly. I can\’t say that I\’m cured yet but these holistic methods combined with other practices are working for me.

A Natural Treatment For Tinnitus is what is working for me and I am feeling so much better. Read more about what\’s helping me by using a Natural Treatment For Tinnitus
